Born in Hillegom, blossomed in Haarlem, until he reached his full growth in Amsterdam. Tettero is what you could classify a purebred dj, the kind that’s so crazed about music that in his sleep he’s still selecting tracks for his next gig.

Currently Tettero is hitting it off as resident of clubs such as Melkweg, Woodstock69, AIR en Club Stalker.

Already at an early age Gijs Tettero started deejaying at beachparties in Bloemendaal. From here it was just a small and apparent step to expand his territory to Haarlem where he started to organize parties for Club Stalker. Through Stalker and his own Luxlife parties in Patronaat his status as an artist came to a full rise and from there on he made his acte de présence into the Amsterdam nightlife. In 2008 this led to a residency for the Chemistry RUSH events through which Tettero and his brother-in-arms Sven, did weekly prime-time gigs for clubs such as Effenaar, Monza and 013. Accordingly this spiralled into a range of bookings on festivals of which Rockit, Free Your Mind, 5 days off and Dance Valley were just a few. Shortly after the beast was officially unleashed as he established residencies for Woodstock69, 3 HOOG (AIR) and Foxes&Wolves (Melkweg).

The year 2010 was one hell of an explosive year for Tettero, as he launched his first gig at Lowlands, where he and Sven were scheduled in the Bravo area right before Groove Armada. However, he has also done an outrageous back2back set with Ben Westbeech in the Melkweg and has performed together with Dizzie Rascal. These bookings exemplify Tettero’s versatility. He thrives in almost every setting but particularly excels in the disco, house and electro genres.
