Rico Bass the Dj the producer the label owner is a well known name and face in the german Dance scene over many years now.
Rico is responsible for many national & international Chart hits for example the Master Blaster project together with Sascha van Holt & Mike de Ville.The hits from Master Blaster include “Hypnotic Tango” How old are U” to name but 2 of the international hits from this Italo disco revival which was often copied by many other Dj/producers,but Master Blaster were the first to create the Italo Disco revival.. The debut Master Blaster Album “We love Italo Disco “ entered the top 20 Album Charts and Master Blaster were nominated for the most important german Music award “Echo 2003”.

2004 and Rico decides to move on from Master Blaster after the last hit single “Dial my number”so he could concentrate more on his vision of setting up his own label. 2005 Rico together with Mike Griesheimer & Thomas Detert set up the label Airbase Recordings. After producing “Vaganzza” and “Marcus Levin” (the latter released via Ministry of Sound) the next hits where in the making. Together with Mike Griesheimer aka Mike Red the new project “Vinylshakerz” was released on the german Dance scene via the well known label Kontor Records. The debut single “One night in Bangkok” smashed into the top 20 sales charts in germany and the follow up singles “Club Tropicana” and “Daddy Cool” also entered the sales Charts.

Rico not being a man who rests easily releases under his own name the single “Happy Station”originally from Fun Fun which was also released via Kontor Records.

After 2 years touring as Vinylshakerz in the spring of 2006 Rico moves on again to start his own solo labels Bassline Musix and Starhit Records. His new single is already in the pipeline together with many other future projects which are being or are already produced in cooperation with House Arrest Boyz,Danny Wild and his good friend Bonito Julio.

Besides the well known hit projects Master Blaster & Vinylshakerz Rico is also responsible for other projects such as Electrolaz, D-Troy feat.
