Bernd Loorbach started producing dance music under the name of 'Project X' during the early 90's. At that same time he was actively pursueing a career as a deejay in several Dutch clubs and for many different radio stations, among which the AVRO (Robin Albers' famous show 'For Those Who Like To Groove') and Veronica (Ferry Maat's legendary 'Soulshow'). 2004 saw the birth of the first commercial CD release by Project X, a highly addictive remix of The Drummboys' 'Ritmo de Loco's', released on Double Dance Records. This single features several different remixes made by Project X. In 2005 several other productions by Project X were released on Xing Records and Double Dance Records. The productions 'Spicey Meatball' and 'Streaming Summer Love' were both released as single CD's as well as on compilation albums. Famous Dutch mixer Ben Liebrand used 'Streaming Summer Love' in his Grandmix 2005, no small feat for sure! In the mean time, Project X made several remixes, among which the much praised remixes of 'Leave' and 'Run To Me' by German artist Fruehbel. In the same year, the 100th radio broadcast of a Project X mix in the Netherlands was a fact. Of course international fame was soon to follow, and many Project X productions and (re-)mixes have already been broadcast on radio stations such as Mixdown911 in the USA, Radio Horsens in Denmark and Radio Donna in Belgium. After winning the number one position in the prestigious 2006 DMC Gusto/Galaxy Remix Competition, Project X is now a well sought after remixer/producer with several big deals in his pocket. Not all can be revealed here, but worth mentioning is the upcoming release of summer smash hit 'El Tambor Alegre' by Project X featuring Leonie, due for release on Double Dance Records. A Project X megamix and also a remix of 'Say Say Say' by Hi_Tack has just been released on the DMC Commercial Collection CD 280/281 and 12" Vinyl.
