Wouter Koops aka Mc Da Syndrome was born on the first of April 1979. When he was a boy he listened to a lot of different kinds of House styles. Da Syndrome had a tape recorder in his room and recorded every House song that he heard on the radio. Even then he was already able to rap whole songs. When he reached the age of 16 he wanted to meet House artists in real life. At weekends he jumped on the dance floor until far into the night. He liked dancing and he definitely liked people looking at him when he was going crazy on the dance floor, so instead of hitting the decks he decided to do something else. A party organizer in Coevorden gave Wouter the opportunity to rock the mic. At a small House party he did a performance together with a DJ. Just as he hoped there were two young organizers who wanted him to host a few of their DJ contests.
In fact this was the beginning of Da Syndrome’s career and he became an MC for an embossed DJ team. After a few years this DJ team quit and MC Da Syndrome was badly looking for something new. At this time the MC asked one of the members of another DJ team to give him the opportunity to show his skills on the microphone. All DJ members responded very enthusiastically and saw him as a useful addition to their team. But being a member of this team is not all he wanted. Da Syndrome decided to expand his network of contacts. Syndrome met a DJ/organizer who gave him the opportunity to show his microphone skills on the microphone at a big club called ‘ZAK’. All the resident DJ’s were impressed and saw him as an addition to the crew of ZAK. In this period Da Syndrome also performed at various parties in Holland and Germany such as Q-Base, Defqon 1, Decibel and Thunderdome and even a 5 minute’s of fame on Sensation Black! Da Syndrome worked his way to the top and kept on going and going. He performed at more than 300 parties in the Netherlands and abroad. At the end of 2006, DJ The Prophet contacted Da Syndrome and asked him to host the Scantraxx World Artist Tour. A dream came true. This energetic MC now performs at the biggest parties all over Europe.
As a resident of Scantraxx Recordz, many call him the most crazy MC of the Netherlands because of his outstanding performances. This over-energetic man is flawless in his timing and he’s able to create an atmosphere where the DJ can act without over-staging. With many parties coming up in the near future the goal is to reach everyone, everywhere around the globe.
