Mark Laurenz a.k.a. Mark van Biljouw (Born: 18-05-1981) was grown up in Zaanstad (The Netherlands - Holland). He got interested in music at an early age already. Being a teenager he started to experiment with vinyl, cd players and started 2 play @ school parties and birthday parties from his friends.
When Mark got his first personal computer he started trying 2 produce some music of his own and soon his effort was paying off. With different aliases Mark started signing his tracks one some major record labels in 2007, as he was producing tracks for some successful commercial projects at that time.
Soon after that Mark decided he wanted 2 release some House/Electro tracks under his own alias Mark Laurenz. After he got in touch with B-Bass Recordings the first release (Ditch Bitch) was available a couple of months later on all major download platforms and got a number 1 position in the charts.
Bookings started coming in and Mark started his DJ Career around all major clubs in The Netherlands. After some RADIO & TV appearances on TMF, SLAM FM, RADIO 538 and some smaller stations a big remix request came in.
Togheter with Nils van Zandt he produced the official remix on the Timati & Snoop Dogg – GROOVE ON (CDS).
After that, Mark Laurenz created more dancefloor filling tracks like; Ditch Bitch, Get Down, Slapstick, XXL and more !. All his tracks were supported by major DJ’s in the scene and were highly ranked in the charts.
In 2012 Mark decided it was time 2 refresh his sound. He wanted 2 stay creative and move on with the dance scene in a trend where more dance styles like house/progressive/trance and electro come together.
The first release in 2012 is the track; ‘Conspiri’ a great track made with his good music friends Funkastarz and D-Jastic. Released by: PM Recordings.
Mark produced some tracks for the following labels:
PM Recordings, B-Bass Recordings, Spinnin Records, First Class Music, Cloud 9 Music, BIP Records, Berk Music, Soundz Good and Universal Records.
