At the helm of one of the most exciting club nights to emerge in recent times, Jaymo & Andy George have crafted a brand that stands for cutting-edge music and sleepless nights.
Their Moda parties have exploded from 300 people in a dimly lit bar to thousands of people going nuts in disused theaters, industrial warehouses, boats & superclubs all over the world!
Their captivating performances are built on House, Techno & Disco with regular sidesteps into the whatever else catches their ears. Everything is edited, remixed or dissected especially for their DJ sets!
In April 2008 Jaymo & Andy became two of the youngest people to ever record a live Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. After catching the attention of the station bosses, the boys landed their very own Radio 1 show just months later, taking the sound of Moda to millions of listeners around the world!
Jaymo & Andy have fast become a part of the fabric at Radio 1. As well as broadcasting their live shows, they regularly cover and co-host with the likes of Annie Mac, Kissy Sell Out, Vernon Kay & Zane Lowe, as well as reporting from major BBC events such a One Big Weekend & Creamfields & even travelling overseas to record cultural documentaries.
Their flair for presenting has seen their fan-base explode & their careers quickly progress – with further radio & TV projects around the corner.
As Producers Jaymo & Andy have remixed some of the worlds coolest artists, including Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Wiley and Fenech Soler, grabbing support from global names such as A-Trak, Annie Mac, Crookers & Fake Blood.
This Summer saw the boys drop their first ever original single; a Techno-edged club track that went on to feature vocals from Roll Deep's J2K. Their second EP delves even further into their Techno love affair - hitting the streets at the start of 2011.
And the label for this EP? That's there's too! In little over a year the Moda Music label has broke some seriously exciting new artists and bands, licensing tracks all over the world and even infiltrating Radio 1's daytime play list with the hugely successful Fenech-Soler. And this is just the start!
So with all this in the bag it's probably no surprise that Mixmag asked Jaymo & Andy to put together their hallowed End Of Year December cover CD. With previous years being mixed by Erol Alkan, SMD & Soulwax they're in good company.
