Erik Heijting was born near Rotterdam on the 27th of Februari in 1982. When he was 10, he moved to IJsselstein, which is where he started to get more involved in music. At that time, Erik was very keen on letting other people hear the music he was interested in. At the age of 12, he got in touch with the drums and without having classes, he taught himself how to play them.

Erik got his first mixer at the age of 14. He connected a Discman and a CD-player to it and without even having a pitch, he was mixing for hours and hours. One year later, he bought 2 turntables and started spending all his money on records. He even got an extra newspaper round on top of his other one to be able to buy even more records! Later on, at the age of 17, he bought 2 Technics and it was on these decks, where he really became a skillful DJ.

Erik´s first gig was on his 19th and from there on, he got more and more bookings every year. One of his most memorable performances was a closing set after Andre Galluzi on the Rockit-afterparty in 2008. From here on, it was clear that Erik Heijting has a promising future in music ahead of him. So far, Erik has played in respected clubs, like Catwalk, Studio 80, Nighttown, Powerzone, TWSTD, Central Studios and is now resident DJ at Club Poema and Fresh F.M. radio
