At just 23 years old, Andy Daniell has already achieved international recognition as an exceptionally talented DJ and producer. As Defected Records youngest ever In the House resident, since joining the label in 2003, he’s been rocking dance floors across the globe.

Cutting his teeth at El Divino in 2004 as their Ibiza resident, Andy played to capacity crowds alongside a who’s who of all-star DJs throughout the season, since then the talented spinner from Southend, UK has continued to establish a sound that’s deep and soulful, through to tougher with a more electronic edge. As the man himself says “A good record is a good record, no matter what the genre.”

Having held down residencies at Gatecrasher 1 and Discotheque alongside his Defected UK and International commitments, Andy’s no stranger to rocking some of the world’s finest floors, winning over clubbers and industry heads alike, he has been highlighted by Mixmag as one of their best Ibiza breakthrough DJs and also by M8 magazine joining their pick of Tomorrow People.

Andy is responsible for compiling and mixing all of the brand new breed of bargrooves compilations alongside several of Defected’s other CDs, including the entire, ‘For The Love Of’ series, his debut Digital ‘D-fused’ artist selection.

A master at editing and fusing of styles, each compilation reflects another element of Andy’s sound. An established producer with a discography that’s been growing since his first released track (aptly named ‘Doin' It’) at the age of 16, collaborations with Timmy Vegas and Kings of Tomorrow star Sandy Rivera have confirmed Andy’s respected reputation. His continued partnership with Sandy, has seen remixes from the pair on the track, ‘Just Won’t Do’ and acclaimed productions including forthcoming mighty vocal inspired, ‘Whatever’.

His remix talents have been noted across the industry and called into action on tracks from Strictly Rhythm, Defected, Ministry of Sound, Blackwiz and CR2 amongst others. Aside from a DJ and production schedule that rarely sees him leave the studio or the dance floor, Andy also holds the coveted position of A&R assistant to Defected label boss, Simon Dunmore. With an eye for talent and respect for quality music he continues to push the boundaries to contribute to a label renowned for upfront house music.
